MDM Trouble Report for 2010 Apr 21

Problem(s) Encountered:
I noticed a problem with the auto guider. Even for bright stars 
and sufficient large guide boxes, thus no problem caused by in-
sufficient background correction, the guide probe started to 
oscillate and moved the guide star out of the guide box. Some-
times the guiding worked well for up to 20 cycles before the 
guide star was moved out of the guide box with one or two large 
corrections but also after two or three cycles a large guide 
correction was applied, causing the guide star moving out of
the guide box.
Hence, I guided by hand, like in the good old times. If it is an
easy fix this will be great, but otherwise I am also o.k. with
guide by hand.
