MDM Trouble Report for 2010 Mar 17 Telescope: 2.4m Observer(s): Stanonik (Columbia) Instrument: CCDS Problem(s) Encountered: The retrocam mirror seems to be stuck in the 'out' position. Before sunset I successfully took calibration lamp and flat spectra and moved the mirror in and out. Later I was taking images to measure the focus, and found that when I pushed the 'In' button in the xmis it showed the text 'Moving mirror in...' but didn't blink red 'Moving' as it had before and when I looked with the CCDS acquisition camera the view of the slit was not blocked. I tried re-initializing the xmis and it recognized that the mirror was currently out, but it still would not move in. I called Bob but he thought it was a mechanical problem he would have to look at himself. Since it got stuck out, it didn't interfere significantly with the rest of my nights observing. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Mar 18 [6:24:12]
