MDM Trouble Report for 2010 Oct 15

Problem(s) Encountered:
Thunderstorms nearby in the afternoon made us decide to do a
lightning shutdown. However we found that the shutdown instructions
are old enough that they are difficult to understand and follow,
due mostly to equipment that is no longer in service or has been
replaced. By the time we got through the first few steps the
storm had passed and we gave up and rebooted what we had taken
down. Suggest that it's time to update the emergency procedures
AND get rid of obsolete versions in the control room and an
even older version pinned to the bulletin board.
