MDM Trouble Report for 2012 Feb 9

Problem(s) Encountered:
At one point, mid-observation, we noticed the stars and target 
on the CCDS acquisition image had jumped back and forth in the 
NS direction.  The length of the jump was ~30-40 , and it 
lasted for ~ 1 minute.  After that, the telescope pointing 
seemed stable.  The problem did not appear again.  This problem 
occurred a minute or two after I regained guiding 
from having lost the guide star.

One additional problem arose this evening.  Just after slewing 
to NGC 3516 from NGC 3227, I noticed an error message in the 
status bar of the telescope control panel. The status bar said 
the mirrorwas neither open nor closed.  I pushed the mirror 
button on the GUI, which closed the mirror. I then opened the 
mirror, which made the error go away.  It did not show up again 
during the night.
