MDM Trouble Report for 2012 Jun 19

Problem(s) Encountered:
1. the ccd controller faulted twice tonight, once while doing
twilight flats; the second time in the middle of the night.
the symptom was the same as before; garbage readouts of a
recognizable type.  each time i had to restart the owl software
in order to cure the problem.  i can provide the faulty
readout images if anyone is interested in seeing them.

2. the finger lakes shutter is opening and closing for each
expose and track.  i though it was supposed to be left open.
it appears to me that there is no longer a 'camera settings'
option with advanced features which allows one to keep the
shutter open, per john thorstensen's instruction manual.
at least, it doesn't pop up any menu when i click on it.
please advise on this.  this seems to have been going on
for a long time.
