MDM Trouble Report for 2012 Jun 24

Problem(s) Encountered:
The TCS server was not communicating with anything.  
I talked to Bob about it, but he didn't have a solution.  

Due to a very intense thunderstorm that passed right over MDM, I had to do a 
lightning shutdown of the telescope.  A few bolts of lightning struck very nearby.  
Upon restarting the systems, I encountered the problem with the TCS.

When opening the 1.3m Telescope Control Panel, the server was marked with a 
red dot instead of green and the  Initialize  button was red.  The error received 
when hitting the  Initialize  button was  Cannot connect to the TCS server .  
In the command line, I tried  telescope start , the output for which showed no errors.  
It affirmed that the connections had been made.  I then entered  telescope status , 
and tserver and rtel would both temporarily be running, but another  telescope 
status  a few seconds later returned that both were not running.  

After talking to Bob, I emailed Richard Treffers who installed the TCS.  I have not heard
back from him yet.
