MDM Trouble Report for 2012 Jan 20

Problem(s) Encountered:

At one point I rotated the instrument, stopped to check the 
rotation on the monitor -- and the rotation would not start
again in either direction.  I could hear the  clack  of the 
brake (if that's what it is), but the motor wouldn't
start up.  Pointed higher up so I could reach the rotator
box from the stepladder, cycled the power on it, and the 
problem went away.  

One suggestion about the rotator -- it'd be good to put the 
mounting hook closer to the center of the mount rather than
at the base of the east fork.  When the telescope is pointed
well to the west the current hook becomes impossible to reach
without a stepladder.
