MDM Trouble Report for 2013 Jan 05

Problem(s) Encountered:
The Andor slit viewer communicates through a USB hub, which has
a converter that plugs into AC.  The original failed, so Paul 
and Eric rigged a replacement today.  This was plugged into the
telescope, so that when I rotated I disrupted the supply of 
power, which dropped the connection between the Andor and its
PC.  Hilarity ensued -- in the end, it turned out nothing was
damaged, but since the plug on the wall wart doesn't exactly
match the original for the USB hub, it barely makes contact.
I ended up wrapping electrical tape to exert tension on the plug
to give it reliable contact.  All this took a little while through
the night, probably costing an hour and a half in total.

So, we need another power adapter that actually matches.
