MDM Trouble Report for 2013 Nov 15 Telescope: 2.4m Observer(s): Demitri Muna (Ohio State University) Instrument: OSMOS Problem(s) Encountered: No hours were lost due to bad weather, but were unable to even take a good flat or arc calibration. The flats didn't look good; they kept coming out such that the upper left corner of the field is much brighter, dropping to the same level as a bias in the lower right. I took a Xe comp, and the lines were 90° from what was expected. Executing mirror out leaves the mirror status in Prospero stuck on MOVING occasionally as well, eventually moving back to IN or OUT . Got en error when executing call roi4x1k : WARNING: Region-of-interest has been modified to maintain symmetry around CCD centerline. ACQTAG=OSMOS.19800104032320 Error: Command returned error WARNING: Region-of-interest has been modified to maintain symmetry around CCD centerline. ACQTAG=OSMOS.19800104032320 Subroutine stack Line number: PROSPERO 0 roi4x1k 6 Execution error in line 6 Command: ic 'ROI 1 4096 1525 2572 ON' silent This error killed the script from which it was called. The ROI was actually changed despite the error. Around 22:15 we closed down all the software and restarted everything, but this didn't have any improvement. Unable to get a proper flat or comp, called it a night at midnight. Dewar was refilled at 05:10. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Nov 16 [5:27:03]
