MDM Trouble Report for 2014 Jun 27 Telescope: 1.3m Observer(s): Schimoia (OSU) Instrument: CCDS Problem(s) Encountered: I had no problem with evening calibrations, I performed arcs, biases and Dome flats as usual, however I noticed that the computer at the Linux Workstation was a little bit slow (when moving the mouse the cursor was moving slower). When I was waiting the sunset to open the dome some problems happened: First the JSkyCalc closed itself, then ds9 stopped working and right after that the TCS window became white. I tried to select the TCS window but I couldn't and some seconds later the TCS window also closed itself. The Prospero didn't stop running. I contacted Eric Galayda, the site manager, and he acessed remotely the Linux workstation but couldn't conect to McGraw. I was instructed to enter into the computer room and reset McGraw manually, so I did. After that, Eric restarted all programs at Linux workstation and almost everything was working normally except by two things. I) Prospero was trying to save twice the same file, this resulted in erros like: CB> WARNING: FITS file '/lhome/data/ccds140627.0050.fits' already exists, writing as '/lhome/data/140425CS.3gj.fits' instead II) I also tried to access the mirror for the slit images acquired with the acquisition camera: /data/slit13 but couldn't find the directory. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2014 Jun 28 [17:46:36]
