MDM Trouble Report for 2015 Apr 17 Telescope: 2.4m Observer(s): Black & Neustadt (Dartmouth) Instrument: OSMOS Problem(s) Encountered: running the oalign.py task required more shifts/exposure than usual to get the object into the slit. It seem to be underestimating the dy shift significantly, dx didn't seem to be as bad. Instead of only taking 2 attempts to center an object in the slit, it would take atleast 6. Not sure what is causing the issue. I tried resetting the guider probe to 'origin' and then moving back out to the guide star, hoping that maybe the problem was that the guider coordinates were a bit off. That may have helped a bit, seem to cut it down to ~3/4 instead of 6+. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2015 Apr 18 [6:12:26]
