MDM Trouble Report for 2016 Jun 04 Telescope: 1.3m Observer(s): Kay/Moran (Columbia) Instrument: Direct/Templeton Problem(s) Encountered: Went to a calibration field that we'd been to twice already, and the telescope just wouldn't settle down. It bobbed mainly in one direction (vertical on the guider camera). Went to a nearby science field ~ 10 degrees away -- no bobbing. Came back to the calibration field and the nodding resumed. Repeated this several times. Exposures were short at this field, so we eventually took images until we got some that were acceptable (though the psf's were not great). Went off to other fields (no nodding at them) and returned to the problematic field ~ 1 hr later -- no problems. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2016 Jun 5 [4:38:55]
