MDM Trouble Report for 2016 Dec 14

Problem(s) Encountered:
Noticed that guide star was not as bright as expected, took image anyway and had target,
when moving target into slit noticed that MIS had guider 0X and did not appear to move.  
Knew this was a problem from other reports, followed instructions listed

quit MIS, cycled power in computer room,  restarted and everything worked fine
Had this issue two other times tonight, used same solution



Went down to 1.3m to help remote observer. 
Got an email from observer saying she had an error message  dropleaf  ERROR dropleaf adam read digits error d˜27F00 
When I went down dome was open.  Was able to switch to local and close dome, did not move dome (at home position).  
Watched from control room 1.3m Observer type in commands to close dropleaf and nothing happened.



Tried  cycling power to mcgraw.  Did not work, left a message with Eric.

Tried switching back to remote, observer could not close dome but had telescope control 
Left 1.3m observer to collect data  for the night after agreeing to close dome at the end of night or in bad weather



Talked to Eric, passed solution from another trouble report on to observer (in terminal type telescope stop, telescope start) 
Solution worked, 1.3m Observer was able to close remotely and to my knowledge had no other problems.
