MDM Trouble Report for 2017 Oct 20 Telescope: 2.4m Observer(s): Fesen and Weil (Dartmouth) Instrument: Echelle Direct Problem(s) Encountered: Dome rotation is still a problem. We carefully watched the dome azimuth and telescope azimuth to see the differences between the two. When the telescope was at Dec+25 the dome could not keep up near HA=0. The difference reached +18 degrees. We then started to run manually, however at HA=1.5 hours the dome ran-away. The telescope azimuth was 254.5 and the dome went to 336.1 before turning around. This had happened earlier in the night however we did not right down the HA, or azimuths at that time. At beginning of night telescope was not setting to objects, Damen remotely patched the TCS which solved that problem. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2017 Oct 21 [4:43:03]
