MDM Trouble Report for 2018 Sep 17

Problem(s) Encountered:
1) Guide probe never worked reliably.  At start of night it was
in the center position.  Commanding it to go to origin did nothing.
We fiddled with it and got it to work for our first target, but
then we could not acquire guide stars after that.  Motion in y
seems to be problematic.  So we decided to close up about 0100.

2) Closing up generated more problems, especially with
TCS communication. We got the telescope to the zenith, the
mirrors closed, and the dome in the home position.  Then
the command to close the dropleaf failed with no action.  
After sending the command to close the dropleaf, other 
commands, such as mirror cover open, produced the error
message  ERROR: Could not send command.  Socket is not
connected.  Is the TCS server running?  Issuing the 'refresh'
command on the gui got some things to work (e.g., mirror),
but the command to close the dropleaf breaks the TCS 
communication (it seems). 

So we had to leave the dome open!
