MDM Trouble Report for 2024 Apr 25

Problem(s) Encountered:
After everything was done, I couldn't get the dome to close! But 
then I managed to fix it by trial and error:

tx dropleaf close    

gave

ERROR dropleaf slit busy

I tried restarting; in a terminal

telescope stop

telescope start

And quit from the TCS GUI window, restarted and reinitialized the
GUI ... it connected to the server OK, but the error continued.

I finally solved it as follows:

tx slit close   [even though the dropleaf was open]

To my surprise, I could see the slit moving in the dome 
   camera image.

Then:

tx slit stop    [I guessed at this, and it simply stopped while
                 still almost wide open.]

tx dropleaf close   [It finally closed!]

tx slit close   [It continued closing, and closed.  Voila!]

Now, I can finally go to bed with a clear conscience.  The 
weather is fine, but it's still good to know it's closed.
