MDM Trouble Report for 2025 Jan 25

Problem(s) Encountered:
At the start of the night the dropleaf failed to open, giving
'ERROR dropleaf slit busy'.  After trying a couple of things,
including restarting the telescope program, which didn't help,
I closed the main slit a bit and reopened it, which then
allowed the dropleaf to open.  

Perhaps related to the first problem, I found that the pointing
was far enough off that I couldn't find my target (after first
thinking that it was due to the clouds.)  Using the tilt meters,
I found that the RA was off to the east by ~12 minutes of time.
This is a known, occasional problem, I believe without a known
cause.
