Guider Image Motion and Focal Issues

Problem(s) Encountered:
Had trouble locating guide star. We weren''t sure if it was
pointing or some other problem.
Later in the night tried to diagnose, reset encoders, etc. and everything involving telescope pointing was good.
The guide probe seems to be the issue because each time we moved
to a new star the position of the star would shift (even
when returning to the original star). Also at the end of
this it seems that the guider probe focus shifted drastically
producing a very large donut image. It seems almost as if
something is loose in the guider probe hardware, and/or encoder is
skipping, though not clear why that would affect focus.
Solutions:
Pulled the detector and filter wheel and found that the motor mic for the guide system had slid itself essentially as far “in” as it could go. This was expected from the described symptoms. Pulled the bottom plate off the MIS since we were there anyways so that the tension clip at the rear of the motor mic could be tightened up. Tightened up a bunch of assembly screws inside the MIS while there as well. Checked all motions and travels before buttoning everything back up.
