Problem(s) Encountered:

The guiding system did not work: the guide star showed oscillations.

Solutions:

I noticed that the x- & y-speeds, found under the Settings tab, were set to -8 & 8 respectively.  While this is the case for observations on the 1.3m, the 2.4m currently, due to some nebulous bug in the TCS, needs to be set to roughly -16 & 16, as noted in the manual (http://mdm.kpno.noao.edu/Manuals/guiderdoc/autoguiding.html#using).
