MDM Observing Preparation Form

The following form needs to be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start of your observing run. Please enter your name and full email address. Then select the options in the appropriate boxes.

Once completed, click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page. A text version of the completed form will be send to MDM and to the email address specified.

OSMOS
The Ohio State MultiObject Spectrograph can only be used at the 2.4m. It can only be used with the 4K or R4K CCDs.
Default setup is:
Slits: 0.9" & 1.2" (center & inner) and ~1" (outer)
Filters: U,B,V,R,I (filter2) and SDSS-g,r,i, z, GG475 (filter1)

Special requests of the 4" MDM, NOAO or WIYN filters may be possible.
Selection of Available Filters
Available long slits are 0.9", 1.2", 1.4", 3" (center & inner), 4" (inner), ~1" (outer) and 10" (center).
Please note below what slits and filters are desired. If the default setup is desired, simply type default in the box.
